On the left are two examples of the original Camera RAW files - images without any form of
retouching - as shot. On the right are the images after extensive retouching in Photoshop.
My personal view is: Time taking the photograph, should be viewed ONLY as information
gathering; as near the visualised end result as it is possible to achieve at the time, but
NOT, an expectation of it being the final product.
The examples illustrate how much the image can be improved, but does take time. Details
like cranes can be removed (above), perspective correction (left & right) and overall tonality, colour and mood can be enhanced to produce the image visualised at the time of shooting.
