Rutland Water, Leicestershire, England, 2001
Normanton Church dates back to 1826. It is a copy of St John's Smith Square in London and is reached by a causeway. Rutland Water is a man made reservoir completed in 1977. To save the church, it was raised above the water line on a pier of stones. The church is now a museum to The Rutland Water Reservoir.
