Muker, North Yorkshire, England, 2003
Set in high moorland of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Muker has 63 stone barns within a half mile radius of
the village. The traditional Dales stone barns are used to store hay and house cattle in winter. The Dales became
a protected National Park in 1954 and settlements in the Dales date back to the Bronze and Iron Ages.
