The Hermit's Chapel, Roche, Cornwall, England, 2003
A chapel built in 1409 by a hermit. Legend tells of hellhounds chasing the cruel son of Jan Tregeagle across the moor. He ran to the chapel, crashing through the east window to gain access. His head became stuck in the stained glass window, leaving his spirit body to hang outside for the clawing demons to maul. His howls of
torment are heard today. British Landscape Panoramic Photograph.
