The Terminal 5 project is included to represent coverage of
a project on a long term basis and the variety of images to be
gained from such a project. However, more importantly, it is
included here to showcase not Terminal 5 as a location, but
my own personal photographic style through a continuity of
images, a style that could be utilised in any location.
A strong appreciation for composition and calling on my
background as a news photographer, the aim to distil the
image down to it's most simple form - one picture, one story.
The Terminal 5 project required that I and another, second
photographer took on the full responsibility for planning and
arranging the photographic coverage by keeping our own
construction diary to avoid missing out any key moments
of the project.
Photography requires a great deal more than just picture
taking, it requires a great deal of research and planning in
order to be in the correct place at the correct time for that
one ‘lucky’ picture.
