Born 1961, London. David gained a First Class BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from
Camberwell School of Art, London. However, he was more suited to photography
and spent the last two thirds of the degree course, teaching himself photography.
On leaving university he spent a year part time with Shell Oil, before joining Reuter
News Pictures in London as a photographer for three years. He also worked for AP,
AFP and all major British national newspapers and a great many USA and foreign
newspapers. He then worked in Asia for nine months as a photo journalist. News
photography is the best education to think pictures naturally and understand their
narrative role instinctively.

After working in Asia, David lived in Sydney, Australia for ten years where he ran his
own commercial studio. At this time he began work on annual reports and worked
mainly in the electronics industry for Nortel, Alcatel and GEC and general industrial
photography. Commercial work was a great education in the more technical side of
photography in terms of lighting locations and greater technical quality. On returning
to London in 2000, he began work with BAA which culminated in a three year project
to document the construction of Heathrow's Terminal 5 building. He then covered the
construction of One Hyde Park in London, the world's most expensive apartments.

In April 2011, he partnered with Gallery One. An international and branded gallery
group based in Dubai. His partnership with Canson and Seitz has allowed him the
means to create the images; Gallery One will allow easy access to purchase original,
limited edition prints. This exciting development will allow him the time to concentrate
far more of his effort and time on shooting new and better, high quality panoramic
landscapes both in Great Britain and all around the world.
